The Equal Justice Foundation frequently
works with private attorneys, law students, and other volunteers on cases
or special projects. To contact us regarding any of the volunteer
opportunities described below, please email:

Attorneys
Private attorneys can work as co-counsel or receive referrals for pro
bono cases. Volunteer attorneys should be interested in working on
consumer cases and foreclosures.
In addition, we maintain a list of attorneys interested in receiving
referrals for potentially fee-generating cases in specialty areas such as
employment law, family law, consumer law, elder law, juvenile law,
bankruptcy law, civil rights, criminal law, estate planning, housing law,
immigration law, health law, pension law, probate law, school law, social
security law, veterans law, and tax law.
Law Students
The Equal Justice Foundation hires volunteer law clerks during the summer
and throughout the school year. We begin accepting applications for the
summer positions in February each year. Work study funds may be available
and students are encouraged to apply for public interest funding from
their law schools.
In addition, Capital University law students can apply for externships
during the school year. Please contact Capital’s externship coordinator
for more information and to apply.
Other Volunteers
Many times throughout the year, the Equal Justice Foundation works with
outside individuals and groups on special projects. We maintain a list of
volunteers who are interested in receiving invitations to participate in
these projects.
